Firedrake Dev Log
Where to even begin? The past few months have been a blur of code, dungeon walls, and endless playtesting. I’ve crawled through every corner of every level, squashing bugs, polishing mechanics, and making sure the game feels smooth and fun from start to finish.
Now that the build is running like a champ, I’ve shifted gears to something just as important and that is getting Firedrake out into the world. That means social media, a proper website, and a place for players to connect (and maybe throw some coin at the project).
The new site is live on its own domain all clean, functional, and full of the essentials: a landing page, support info, and store links. I actually tried using the AI site builder that came with my host, but… let’s just say it wasn’t exactly dragon-slaying material. After a few painful attempts, I ditched it and went back to good old WordPress, familiar territory where I can actually bend things to my will. I also had some o f hte promo pictures and screenshots banked up, just enough to populate the pages.
A few late nights later, the site’s up and humming. Still needs some polish and backend tweaks, but for just a few hours of work I’m calling it a win.
Next up: unleashing some fresh social media art blasts to show off Firedrake’s world. Stay tuned as things are about to get fiery.
